Breaking news: Afro-pop artiste 2face cancels anti-government protest

Legendary Nigerian afro-pop singer 2face who earlier announced he would lead a nationwide anti-government protest on Monday, February 6, 2017, declared in the late hours of yesterday, Saturday, that the protest is cancelled.

According to report, the singer declared this in a short video posted on his official Instagram page.

In the video, 2face explained that One Voice Nigeria protest is ‘under serious threat of hijack’ by hoodlums whose interests do not align with his and the organisers of the protest.

He said that he and his partners decided to cancel the protest to avoid loss of lives.

There is no detail at the moment on other plans that 2face and the organisers of the protest have for the protest after cancelling it now.
