Buhari visits Benue first time since New Year killings

THE NEWSGHOST, NIGERIA – Today, Monday, March 12, 2018, President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari arrived in Benue to console the people of the middle-belt state over the New Year killings.

According to report, the president arrived Benue earlier today at about 10:43am. He was billed to visit Governor Samuel Ortom and the Tor-Tiv, Professor James Ayatse, as well as the victims and stakeholders of the killings which reportedly claimed 73 lives.

Buhari is also expected to visit Exercise Cat Race Camp where military troops on the mission to curb terrorist attack in the region were based and internally displaced persons (IDPs) at Gbajimba, Guma Local Government Area headquarters.
