THE NEWGHOST, NIGERIA –

A recent report has disclosed that three former Nigerian military leaders, namely Gen Olusegun Obasanjo (retd), Gen Ibrahim Babangida (retd) and Gen Abubakar Abdulsalam (retd), have met over their deep concerns about the true nature of the health of the Nigerian president Muhammadu Buhari.

The meeting was hosted yesterday, in private, at the hilltop home of Gen Ibrahim Babangida (retd) in Minna, Niger.

At the meeting, which held for two hours, it was reported that the former military leaders expressed concern about the politicking of the president’s health. They described it as unhealthy and considered it a threat to national development.

The trio are also unhappy about the discordant message released by the president’s media aides and his close associates.

With regards to these, the former military leaders agreed to pay the president a visit to ascertain the true state of his health and discuss the disturbing matters with him.

The visit to President Buhari will however be made only by Obasanjo and Abdulsalam, because Babangida’s health will not permit him to travel at the moment.

According to report, the meeting was ended with a prayer for the health of Gen Ibrahim Babangida and President Muhammadu Buhari.
