THE NEWSGHOST, NIGERIA – Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the governor of Kano, has wished the former vice president of Nigeria, Alhaji Abubakar Atiku, good luck in his political career following the recent report that he has resigned from the APC party.

In his resignation letter, he said he his no longer comfortable with the way APC party is running the affairs of the country hence he tenders his resignation. Atiku has not stated which party he his joining next. He is still pondering on his political career.
Ganduje said it will not be a surprise to him if the former vice president shuns the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and joins another party. He said we are in democracy era where everybody has the freedom to choose where they want to be.
Ganduje’s statement reads:
‘Atiku has his own freedom to choose whichever political party he wants to belong. He defected to the PDP. He was in the PDP before and another party, too. So, it is not surprising if he decided to go to another party.
I think in a democracy, it is like that, as people can choose where they want to be and we are not committing any crime by choosing where we want to be.’
