Lagos State: Rain hinders Lagos roads project

THE NEWSGHOST, NIGERIA – The government of Lagos State has promised it will embark on Lagos roads project at the end of the raining season, following reactions among residents of Lagos condemning Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for not embarking on projects to improve the state of Lagos roads.

According to a report, Lagosians on Twitter vented their anger relentlessly towards the governor.

And in response to these reactions, the Chief Press Secretary to the governor stepped forward to address the public in a tweet, saying:

‘Gov @jidesanwoolu is working round the clock to ensure that Lagos works. He has achieved cleaner environment, improved security, health, bursary, etc. He will embark on aggressive road constructions/repairs but this can only be done effectively after the rains. Pls bear with us.’
