THE NEWSGHOST, NIGERIA – Yesterday, August 31, 2017, the newly appointed Commissioner of Police (CP) of Lagos Imohimi Edgal officially took over command from the former CP of Lagos Fatai Owoseni.

According to report, this was disclosed in a statement by the spokesman of Lagos State Police Command.

On Tuesday, August 29, 2017, a report revealed that the Inspector General (IG) of Police Ibrahim Idris had appointed Imohimi Edgal as the new Commissioner of Police in charge of the Lagos State Police Command.

On Wednesday, Fatai Owoseni, the former CP, had denied knowledge of his redeployment from Lagos and the appointment of a new Commissioner of Police for the command.

The confusion was quickly resolved and Owoseni had issued a statement yesterday wishing the officers of the command all the best under the leadership of the new CP.

The spokesman of the command also confirmed in a statement yesterday that formal handing and taking over notes is going on smoothly between the former and the new CP.
