Nigerian Navy opens Direct Short Service Commission application

THE NEWSGHOST, NIGERIA – Nigerian Navy (NN) has opened application for its Direct Short Service Commission (DSSC) course 25 to recruit suitably qualified Nigerian graduates.

This was disclosed, according to report, by the navy’s Acting Director of Public Relations, Navy Capt. Suleman Dahun, on Tuesday, October 10, 2017, in Abuja.

In the statement, Dahun said the guidelines for the recruitment exercise will be made fully available today on the the Nigerian Navy recruitment portal for interested and qualified candidates to apply for the exercise.

Dahun explained that interested candidates must be Nigerians by birth, should possess a minimum of Second Class Upper Division for first degree holders (university graduates) and Upper Credit for Higher National Diploma (HND) holders (polytechnic graduates).

He added that male candidates must not be less than 1.68 metres tall, while female candidates must not be less than 1.65 metre height.

He added further that the applicants should be of between 22 and 28 years old by January 31, 2018, except for applicants applying for Imams and Chaplains who should not exceed 30 years by January 31, 2018.
