THE NEWSGHOST, NIGERIA – Yesterday, in a tweet, Nigeria’s Presidency confirmed Acting President Yemi Osinbajo’s visit to ailing President Muhammadu Buhari in London.
The tweet read:
‘AgP @ProfOsinbajo meeting with President @MBuhari in London today, and returning to Abuja immediately afterwards.’
A Reuters video shared on Twitter by Nigeria and international politics commentator Kayode Ogundamisi showed Acting President Osinbajo leaving Abuja House in London, after meeting the ailing president Buhari.
President Buhari had left Nigeria on May 7 for a medical checkup in London. At that time, the aides to the president said only the doctors treating the president can determine when he can return to the country.
While in London, the president had delivered a message wholly in Hausa language during the Eid-el-Fitr celebrations. This message had angered some Nigerians who claimed the president was being sectional by his choice of language for conveying the message.
