President Buhari finally returns to Nigeria

THE NEWSGHOST, NIGERIA – Yesterday, August 19, 2017, President Muhammadu Buhari returned to Nigeria, after 104 days of medical vacation in London, United Kingdom (UK).

Earlier, a tip had suggested that the president would return on July 27, 2017, but he did not.

According to report, the presidential jet carrying the president from London landed at the presidential wing of the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport, Abuja, at about 4:35pm.

President Buhari was welcomed at the airport by Vice President Osinbajo and other dignitaries, which included Abdullahi Ganduje, governor of Kano; Abdulaziz Yari, governor of Zamfara; Muhammed Abubakar, governor of Bauchi; Abubakar Bello, governor of Niger; Nyesom Wike, governor of Rivers; Atiku Bagudu, governor of Kebbi; and Barnabas Bala, deputy governor of Kaduna.

A statement released earlier by Femi Adesina, the special adviser on media and publicity to the president, revealed that the president is to speak to Nigerians in a broadcast tomorrow (Monday) at 7am.
